Madison Alpern is a multidisciplinary creative whose work experience encompasses interior design, lifestyle, & food.
Madison has studied both Interior Design at Moore College of Art & Design as well as Communications at Drexel University. Over the past 15 years, Madison has spent her days (and many nights) in the Culinary Industry, working hand in hand with highly-renowned chefs around the world, focusing on fine-dining menu development. Years of working closely with the most high-end products via The Chef's Garden, Samuels & Son Seafood, & Blue Moon Acres, Madison traveled from city to city aspiring to both match as well as challenge chefs with items perfectly fitted for their needs. She focused her creativity on menu development and product placement up until a few years ago when she transitioned into the world of food & beverage technology, working for Culinary Agents. While at Culinary Agents she focused her skill sets on restaurant and hotel development mainly through aiding in their hiring needs. Madison's trusted taste and reputation has guided much of her career.
In recent years, Madison dove head first into design after building her own new construction home, from studs to stone, from blueprints to backsplashes. She navigated the road from restaurants to construction sites harmoniously. Not to say there weren't roadblocks to push through and many uncertainties but all of those challenges led her to creating Madison Alpern Interiors LLC.
When it comes to design Madison particularly enjoys playing with monochromatic textures, organic materials, one-of-a-kind pieces, sentimental treasures, unique lighting, and working with various neutral tones. It is always about playing with proportion and scale, letting the artwork have a stage to shine, and finding an equal balance of minimalism mixed with maximalism. Madison believes each space should electrify and play off of all of one's senses in order to help create a landscape where memories can be created.
Putting thought into a space... How will it be used? Who will be the one(s) using it? Is it pet friendly? Kid friendly? The utmost importance when designing for a client.
Madison gravitates towards using clean lines, negative spaces, and decluttering to bring an ease and relaxation to her designs. And most of all she believes in letting quality speak over quantity. Madison describes her personal style as; modern while honoring decades past, spotlighting artwork and sculpture, eclectic luxe combined with function.
She currently resides in Philadelphia with her rescued double-doodle, Etta James but is available to clients across the country.
